In accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation of April 27, 2016, hereinafter referred to as the GDPR, we hereby inform you that:

  1. The controller of your personal data is the Gdańsk University of Technology, with its registered office in (80-233) Gdańsk, Poland at 11/12 Gabriela Narutowicza Street.
  2. The controller has appointed a Data Protection Officer, who can be contacted by phone at +48 58 348-66-29 or by email at: iod@pg.edu.pl. The Data Protection Officer may be contacted regarding all matters concerning the processing of personal data and the exercise of rights related to such processing.
  3. Your personal data will be processed for the following purposes:
    • necessary for the conduct of the Conference, including verification of compliance with the requirements described in these regulations,
    • necessary to fulfill the legal obligations incumbent upon the Organizer,
    • pursuing the controller’s other legitimate interests, i.e., establishing, exercising, and defending against claims, and for statistical purposes,
  4. The legal basis for processing your personal data is:
    • Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR (consent of the data subject),
    • Article 6(1)(b) of the GDPR (processing is necessary for the performance of a contract to which the data subject is a party or to take steps at the request of the data subject prior to entering into a contract),
    • Article 6(1)(c) of the GDPR (processing is necessary for compliance with a legal obligation to which the controller is subject),
    • Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR (processing is necessary for the purposes of the legitimate interests pursued by the controller).
  5. Your personal data will be stored for the period necessary to achieve the purposes specified in paragraph 3, as well as to comply with the archiving obligation arising from legal regulations. Furthermore, the Controller reserves the right to store your personal data for the period necessary to potentially establish, pursue, or defend against claims, but not longer than until the expiration of the statute of limitations.
  6. The recipients of your data may include entities authorized to access the data under applicable law, as well as entities cooperating with the Data Controller, in particular IT service providers, based on concluded agreements, in accordance with applicable data protection laws.
  7. Providing your personal data is voluntary but necessary and a prerequisite for participation in the Conference.
  8. You have the right to access your data and to rectify, correct, delete, or restrict the processing of your data, as well as the right to data portability and the right to withdraw your consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of the processing.
  9. You have the right to lodge a complaint with the President of the Personal Data Protection Office if you believe that the processing of your personal data violates the provisions of the General Data Protection Regulation of April 27, 2016 (GDPR).
  10. Your data will not be subject to profiling or automated processing, nor will it be transferred to third countries (outside the EEA).
